Peugeot Concept Personal Mobility Car by Yuji Fujimura

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

Designed for the Peugeot Competition, this personal mobility device is designed keeping in mind the future of transportation, which would leave no parking space and the environmental impacts of the conventionally made cars. The one passenger car, if you may, this Peugeot Concept will be electricity powered, but will have wheels moving with magnetic force, which would leave the body of the car floating over the wheels, unique idea I say. Honda debuts stylin’ single-seater for tight city spaces

By admin · Comments (0)
Thursday, February 25th, 2010

Like GM’s Puma and a slew of other personal mobility concepts before it, Honda’s three-wheeled 3R-C is all about getting one person around in style. As a “pod car,” it’s nice and small and would run entirely off lithium batteries. It also has space for storage in the front, and its clear canopy mysteriously shifts into a windshield to offer the driver more forward visibility. The 3R-C is just a concept for the time being, though it’s set to debut at the Geneva Motor Show next week. Maybe we’ll be seeing more of this pint-sized beaut soon? Autoblog Green , via Engadget

By admin · Comments (0)
Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

The key purpose of the EBIQ Electric Bike concept is to complement the environment by reducing the amount of CO2 unlike traditional cars or motorcycles and offering a battery powered bicycle to ensure convenient short distance commuting in city/metro areas. To make it even more functional, the bike enables the rider to charge their laptop, cellphone and other personal electric gadgets. Moreover, the built-in screen at the steering can provide direct access to the user’s laptop to gain necessary information at any moment. To make it space efficient, all the extended components can be folded down, resulting the bike to fit in narrow spaces. (more…)

Honda unveils a home solar hydrogen-producing station

By admin · Comments (0)
Thursday, January 28th, 2010

Despite its current impracticality , Honda keeps plugging away at its hydrogen vehicle prototype . The company just revealed a component that brings its hydrogen vehicle closer to reality — a more compact solar hydrogen-making machine that you install in your personal garage, turning water into hydrogen fuel . The Honda Solar Hydrogen Station uses solar power to perform this alchemy, able to produce a half a kilogram of hydrogen during the day (or using cheaper electricity at night), and refueling that car when you park it in the garage that night. The idea is to create enough hydrogen for a car to make its round-trip daily commute without using any fossil fuels. We can only hope mass production will someday bring the price of each vehicle below the hundreds of thousands of dollars it costs now. Via Ubergizmo
